Nicole Hague

After graduating from the University of Canterbury in 1996, with a Bachelor of Commerce, Company owner and Director, Nicole Hague worked in Christchurch with an international accountancy firm before heading to London where she extended her portfolio initially as Unit Trust Accountant with the London branch of the US State Street Bank, located in London's thriving Canary Wharf. Nicole went on to become a Financial Accountant with a land development company in London, a role which utilised both her accountancy expertise and her experience within property development. She then held a Senior Accountant position within a chartered accounting firm in central London gaining further valuable experience and knowledge before returning home to Christchurch to take up a position within a leading firm.

Nicole founded Balance Accounting Limited in 2003 after identifying a niche in the market for a boutique firm which could provide a superior service and was dedicated to the clients' needs.


Professionally, Nicole has special interests in business consulting, management accounting and taxation. She particularly enjoys working closely with clients in setting business and financial goals, preparing business plans and projections, and then assisting them to measure their progress towards achieving those goals.

Nicole is married and has two young girls. She enjoys running, gymming, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
